The Race to the South Pole (in commemoration of the 100th anniversary)

We've been to Teton National Park, Shenandoah National Park but this week we went farther afield (or a-world) and ventured to Cape Evans and Bay of Whales, Antarctica.  We relived the expeditions of 1911/'12 between the Norwegian team, led by Roald Amundsen and the British team, led by Robert Falcon Scott.

What an adventure it was!
